The Collection of Andrew Johnson

Well here it is kiddies, I'll be having a show in my home town of Fond du Lac.  The art scene has really grown since I left here (starting immediately after I left in 2010.  I'm glad to see proud artists pushing forward.  Keep it up Fondy.
This show will be featuring my work that spanned my time while living in Bellingham.  I hope to see some wonderful friends, family, and new wonderful faces.  I not only make this stuff to keep my head from exploding, but also for your viewing pleasure.  Hope to see you there.

Allied Arts Show:  Places and Things

November 7, 2014

This show will mark  my departure from Bellingham, Washington.   I love Bellingham, but sometimes life has strange ways of showing you a different path.  My series of paintings  (Through The Darkness Comes The Light) will be exhibited through the month along with great artists Ron Pattern (landscapes in acrylic), and Jim Dixon (sculptures). I will also Have two new pieces in the show.  There was another sculptor who was going to be in the show that had to drop out named Tim Alexander.  That is really too bad because I was interested in his work and he is the original drummer of a band I so love named Primus.  It will be a farewell to Bellingham, but I will continue with my journey in art in Wisconsin.
I will also be having a piece at the Dakota Art Gallery in their third show since they opened (6x6).  This piece will be among many others all donated by community members and patrons of Dakota Art.  All of the money made will be donated to Allied Arts for a program that gets local artists to teach art classes in schools (since art is the first program that gets chopped).  So come on down to these shows and buy some art, support your artist community, and say goodbye to me in person as I make this fantastic voyage.  Hope to see you there.
