Through  the  darkness  comes  the  light

This series of paintings was first  conceived during a very depressing time of my life when I had to drive to work on my moped in the dead of night no matter what the conditions.  The lights inspired me along the way despite the sinking feeling while I sped closer to my place of employment at the time.  During that time I felt like I was trapped in a place where I wasn't using any of my skills that I possessed.  I am now grateful of the employment opportunity they provided for me and the people I met while working there.  I am even more grateful of the inspiration working there provided me to make this series possible.  What I am most grateful for is the gift my wife provided for me to leave that place and pursue my art more and the chance to immerse myself into that dark world for this series.
